aeroglas – PTFE/GLASS FABRIC
PTFE coated fiber glass fabrics are one of the most common fabrics in the architectural membrane business. The high quality of the material is coming for the unique surface properties from the PTFE, similar to aeroflon® fabric.
The material stays clean a very long time but the light translucency is a bit lower than pure PTFE fabrics like aeroflon®.
Due to the glass fibers in the fabric the material cannot be used for flexible and folding structures and is mainly used for fixed installed membranes.
The newest PTFE glass fabrics offer the possibility of a Titan-Dioxide coating, which influences the already excellent surface properties about dirt accumulation additional. The TiO2 surface also provides an additional environmental effect, which is called photocatalytic effect (NOx reduction).
Your advantages at a glance:
– long durability, at least 30 years.
– good translucency
– antiadhesive surface properties
– flame retardant to EN 13501-1 B-s1, d0, thin materials provide flame classification A2
– 100% wether and UV resistance
– seams are welded
